A place for Christian women.

Going it alone can be tough. Let’s get together.

Going it alone can be tough.

We’re often full-up on multiple fronts (all good things!), working hard, planning for others, getting things done, serving in hard places. But, at the same time, we can feel alone – in our industry, ministry, life-stage, or particular challenges or passion. When we look for opportunities to connect and grow, it can be hard to know where to start.

Let’s get together.

We love Christian women and we’re in awe of the million ways they reach out to our sceptical and hurting world with the love of Jesus. We believe women are absolutely vital to the Church’s witness today. To grow that contribution, we need each other. We need a place to get together. And we need to bring into that place the best development opportunities in a way that works for our lives.

What might happen if Christian women were seriously supported?

What we offer.

  • We’ve heard from many Christian women that isolation is a significant challenge for them as they serve across different vocations and contexts in the Church, community and the world. Greenhouse Guilds are small groups of Christian women with something in common – they work in the same industry, or have similar key relationships, or are passionate about the same issues, or serve in the same ministries at different churches. They meet monthly (for approx. 1 hr) to support, encourage, and challenge each other to grow and develop as Christian women in the particular spaces in which God has placed them. Guilds are only open to Greenhouse Members.

  • The home of the Greenhouse community online, our digital platform is a place where women can connect with each other no matter where they are or what their accessibility needs may be. The digital platform will allow Greenhouse Members to access online discussion forums, online co-working sessions, and information about upcoming events. Guilds will have their own private spaces within the digital platform to connect with each other to chat, share resources and encourage each other between monthly meetings. All Greenhouse Members have access to the digital platform, accessible at any time via your web browser or on your phone as an app.

  • Meeting each month, Greenhouse Gatherings are the place where Christian women can gather together, meet each other and connect with new people. Each month a speaker presents on a topic of broad interest and applicability, and there’s a chance to chat and enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes online, sometimes in person and hybrid, but always warm and welcoming. Greenhouse Gatherings are free for Greenhouse Members but open to all women. We’d love to see you there!

  • Looking for some company and gentle accountability while you work away on something? Why not join other Greenhouse Members for our weekly online co-working sessions. We’ll each set a goal at the start, do some quiet work “pomodoros” and then wrap up. An hour-of-power to get something ticked off your to-do list and to connect with The Greenhouse community each week.

  • Starting in 2024, The Greenhouse will offer professional development and training across a range of topics, bringing Christian women together with top quality thinkers, trainers, industry professionals and ministry leaders. Greenhouse Members will enjoy priority access and significant discounts on a rang professional development + training offerings.

Meet our Program Director

Dr Katrina Clifford

Katrina has always been passionate about hearing women’s voices and raising up women to use the gifts and opportunities God has given them. Her PhD focused on largely overlooked women writers of the 18th century, and the calls they made for greater visibility and equality within their families and broader society. In her previous role at Robert Menzies College, she was a strong advocate for providing better training and support for female student leaders, and a safer community for all students. She is excited by the opportunities of The Greenhouse to support, encourage and connect Christian women from all over Australia, so that they are emboldened to live out their gifts and their calling, in the church and in the world. She brings to the role extensive experience in strategic thinking, community building, pastoral care, and professional development and training. Katrina is married to Tim, and they have three children. They live in the north of Sydney, and attend St Marks Anglican church in Pennant Hills.

Meet our Community and Engagement Manager

Louisa Raggatt

Louisa is passionate about community and communication and has developed a marketing and communications career, spanning multiple industries, centred on the opportunities for authentic relationships. She brings over 17 years’ experience in online communities and social media marketing strategy (a number that makes her feel old!). In 2010 she established Australia's second blogger outreach agency, and worked with globally recognisable brands, including Kellogg Australia, Colgate and Qantas before selling the business in 2016.  She has a particular interest in emerging programs and is excited about the possibilities for using digital platforms to forge communities that exist both online and offline. Alongside her marketing career she has a Grad Dip from Ridley College in Melbourne, experience in children and family’s ministry, women’s ministry and growing and leading teams. As well as working with The Greenhouse, she is currently writing a book on how regular Christians can use hospitality to love and share the gospel with their neighbours, a project funded by an ADM Fellowship. Louisa is married to Mark and they have three children. They live in the Inner West and attend St Barnabas Anglican Church, Broadway.
